Intense & rugged with a dark chocolate aftertaste
ROAST LEVEL : DARK
COUNTRY : SUMATRA | AFRICA | CENTRAL AMERICA BLEND
Intense & rugged with a dark chocolate aftertaste. A great morning kick start but best enjoyed after a hard days work building sandcastles on the beach.
The aroma suggests bitter chocolate with hints of vanilla. The flavour is well-rounded with mostly chocolate-toned nuances that work well with the classic pungency introduced by the dark degree of roast. Not so heavy that it can't be enjoyed throughout the day, this is a great cup of coffee, whether prepared with filter or cafetiere brewing methods
Bought this coffee online , no hassles, even got some chocolate covered beans. This is now my favourite coffee, will buy more.
I bought this for my husband as a birthday treat as he's had it before. He really likes it and it's one of his favourites surpassed only by the Salted Caramel which was unfortunately out of stock at the time.
I start the day with a double shot of Tugboat in my Gaggia bean to cup machine. I’ve tried other brands and flavours but Cornish Dark is the one that’s hits the spot for me. I like a strong coffee but I want strength of flavour not bitterness. tugboat’s Cornish Dark is perfect. I also tried the Papua New Guinea blend and that was lovely too. If you like a coffee that really TASTES of coffee - not just milky froth - try this one.
This is a really smooth, strong coffee. perfect for any time of the day.
Thank you Tugboat.
Whilst fairly tasty, I expected this coffee to be much stronger. I bought an electric Bosch grinder ( I've never before ground my own beans) so wonder whether the flavour could be improved by a finer or coarser grind? Looking forward to the next four flavours bought at the same time.
