Smooth South African Rooibos with a zesty orange kick
Loose leaf herbal infusion. Infused with rich, succulent orange flavour, Rooibos Blood Orange is a naturally relaxing drink, quite sweet in taste, delicious hot or cold.
Try chilling, then serving in a jug of crushed ice with orange segments for a fantastic summer drink.
Brewing the best cup. One teaspoon per cup. Boiling water, then brew your rooibos, 5+ mins, try rooibos on its own the first time and then if you prefer, add milk or sugar to taste.
The word Rooibos is from Afrikaans, literally meaning ‘red bush’. Although The bushes themselves are green and the leaves that are quickly dried after picking are sold as green rooibos most rooibos that is consumed has a distinctive orange red colour and gives a sweeter taste that develops during the post-harvest “fermentation” (oxidation) process, brought about by natural enzymes in the plant.
It's caffeine-free, low in astringency when compared to black or green tea leaves and contains very high levels of antioxidants, as well as minerals including iron, potassium, copper, zinc and fluoride.
Rooibos, Orange Peel, Flavourings
We had an orange rooibos at a cafe and wanted to find a home version. This has hit the mark. The orange flavour is definitely present but not too overwhelming.
Love this tangy tea bursting in flavour. Another to add to my selection of flavoursome teas without caffeine, to drink later on in the day. Thanks Tugboat for coming up with such variety, and for the fantastic service.
Absolutely lovely, makes a nice change to plain Rooibos. Will definitely order again
This is a wonderful refreshing brew to behold! Fruity, relaxing with a little zing in the taste, and the smell when you open the pack is delicious!
Lovely tea - refreshing but soothing as well. Great for before bed. I brew mine for a good 20 minutes, you can brew it for as long as you like, it doesn't get bitter since it has very little tannins. Amazing flavour.
