Smooth South African Rooibos with a zesty orange kick
Infused with rich, succulent orange flavour, This redbush is a wonderfully flavoursome, caffeine free infusion. Quite sweet in taste and low in tannin, it's delicious hot or cold.
Try chilling, then serving in a jug of crushed ice with orange segments for a fantastic summer drink.
Brewing the best cup. One teaspoon per cup. Boiling water, then brew your rooibos, 5+ mins, try this rooibos on its own the first time and then if you prefer, add sugar to taste.
The word Rooibos is from Afrikaans, literally meaning ‘red bush’. Although The bushes themselves are green and the leaves that are quickly dried after picking are sold as green rooibos most rooibos that is consumed has a distinctive orange red colour and gives a sweeter taste that develops during the post-harvest “fermentation” (oxidation) process, brought about by natural enzymes in the plant.
It's caffeine-free, low in astringency when compared to black or green tea leaves and contains very high levels of antioxidants, as well as minerals including iron, potassium, copper, zinc and fluoride.
Rooibos, Orange Peel, Flavourings
Normally not a fan of fruity teas, but this is the exception, great caffeine free drink.
We have been rooibos fans for years but this is way, and by far, the most delicious that we have tried. From the moment a bag is opened a great smell is followed by great taste and, as another reviewer has said, it doesn't stew so it really is the pot that keeps giving!!
Thanks to the team at Tugboat who are just great to deal with. We now give this tea to ALL our friends.
Lovely strong aroma of citrus from the bag but doesn't overpower the rooibos when brewed.
Lovely fresh tasting tea .. soothing and fragrant- I love it . Looking forward to trying others in the future.
Love everything about this flavour; its smell, its taste, its cost. Some teas are what I would split into morning or afternoon brews but this one you can have any time of the day. Haven't yet tried it cold but have tried re-heating it and unlike some brews it doesn't taste stewed that way. Can't recommend this highly enough.
