Perfect for an afternoon tea, with shortbread.
Light, flavoursome and refreshing with a hint of muscatel. Treasured by tea lovers around the world, Darjeeling is an absolute classic tea for very good reason. Perfect for an afternoon tea, with shortbread.
Brewing the best cup. One teaspoon per cup. Freshly boiling water, brew your tea for 4 minutes, a good rule of thumb is 3-5 minutes for most black teas (depending on your preference for strength) and enjoy with or without milk
These teas are grown in the Darjeeling Province of India at 6,562 feet above sea level, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountain Range. The cool and moist climate, the soil, the rainfall and the sloping terrain all combine to give Darjeeling its unique "Muscatel" flavour and exquisite bouquet. The combination of natural factors that gives Darjeeling tea its unique distinction is not found anywhere else in the world, hence this finest and most delicately flavoured of all teas has, over the years, acquired the reputation of being the "Champagne of Teas."
India Black Tea
Delighted to receive the twin pack of Darjeeling tea promptly. Still finishing off the previous shipment but we rely on Tugboat for a quality tea at a reasonable price.
It was delivered promptly and was well packed against damage in transit. I enjoy Tugboat teas and pleased to support a local supplier. I haven't yet started using this tea as I am finishing my last order. But I am enjoying the sample of Yunnan.
Good quality and size leaves. Good full taste!
A light tea, not as floral as Earl Grey. A lovely tea taken black. Does not go bitter as it cools.
Great delivery. Great tea.
