Hand-rolled little pearl shaped balls of jasmine
The youngest silver tips and buds of green tea are layered with jasmine flowers and then hand-rolled into little pearl shaped balls. They unfurl as the tea infuses, releasing a fine jasmine fragrance. Good for multiple infusions. These are quite special.
Brewing the best cup. Use a few pearls per cup. Boiling water is too fierce for these so, for just-off the boil water, simply boil the kettle, then brew your pearls, 4+ mins, a little honey or sugar, no milk.
This first-grade green tea from the Fujian Province in China is steamed and hand rolled to produce an incredibly smooth cup with delicate flavour that has a heavenly jasmine character. Made with the top two leaves and the bud of new season growth (Late March /early April) which is then scented multiple times with fresh, aromatic jasmine flowers
